The mission of Join the Pipe

At Join the Pipe they fight for a world in which everyone has access to clean drinking water. Apart from that, reducing the plastic waste is also one of their missions. That's why Join the Pipe initiated projects that involve placing water taps and hand pumps and organising clean-ups.

BluePump

Join the Pipe heeft de BluePump ontwikkeld: een duurzame en kwalitatieve handpomp die 100 meter diep gaat. De pomp wordt geplaatst in rurale gebieden in Afrika, zodat ook de mensen daar toegang hebben tot veilig drinkwater. De pomp is vijf jaar onderhoudsvrij, wat zeker in afgelegen gebieden een uitkomst is.

City Clean Up

In lots of large cities in Africa and Asia people drink from plastic bottles and bags. These are thrown away everywhere, which means the huge stack of plastic waste increases. That's why Join the Pipe organises City Clean Ups with the help of school kids.

Water Kiosk at School

At schools, special water kiosks are placed where people can refill their bottle or buy cold drinking water. These kiosks are managed by the school kids.

Blue Pump

Join the Pipe installs the specially designed BluePump in African rural areas. This sustainable hand pump is easy to use, and doesn't need maintenance for 5 years. This way, Join the Pipe offers specific solutions to handle the issues of access to clean drinking water.

City Taps

All over the world, more than 4500 water taps are placed. People can refill their bottle and make use of clean drinking water.

For every bottle sold, an African child gets a bottle or a contribution is made to one of these projects.
